Our cats, Lenny and Carl, were abandoned as kittens. They were fostered by a friend of ours who is a vet at the RSPCA. Their two sisters sadly didn’t make it. Lenny nearly died too, but managed to pull through. For a long time they had seriously dodgy stomachs, and we couldn’t bring them home until they were able to keep food in. But eventually they were given the all clear and we became the proud parents of two bundles of fluff.
They are now five. Carl has grown into a strong, healthy cat.
Lenny has had an eventful life, and six weeks ago nearly died from thrombosis.
He didn’t though, but he has lost the use of his rear leg (it may come back eventually, we just don’t know). He has to have an injection every day, and can’t go out to explore his new garden because of his leg and the underlying heart condition that caused the thrombosis in the first place.
This makes me sad, but he seems happy enough.
Lenny and Carl are brothers, and like any brothers they fight like cat and, um, cat. But they are also the best of friends.

Lovely! I am a cat lady, we have two sisters here. I love that one of them in a bowl together, perfect.

they are very cute together, but you should see the mess when they fight – black fur EVERYWHERE!

Oh, they are so beautiful! So teeny, and fluffy, and cute! And what a lovely story. And, at the risk of being completely self-serving, you might be interested in the new meme at my place – it's about cats!
Sorry for the blatant plug!

They are so like my little munchkins, I have 4 cats and 3 of them are related as they were abandoned – and set fire to. They are about 13 now and have never become fully domesticated, they were truly scarred by their first few weeks of life, but they are happy, living outside most of the time, watching my twin toddlers with bemusement and being very vocal when breakfast is a bit late. Precious.

omg, how awful. people can be truly evil can't they? I'm glad they've had a happy life with you. Our 2 were hand reared and as a result they believe that people are the same as them. Very gentle and loving but mad as hatters
