Monkeymummy tagged me in this meme, and as she is new to blogging and memes, how could I say no?
So, here goes…
1. Are you a meticulous planner?
Day to day? No, I generally go with the flow.
However, as soon as something big is happening in my life, say like, off the top of my head, moving house or having a baby, I get into organisation hyper drive. In such situations I write list after list after list. I have to have a note book by my side AT ALL TIMES to make sure I cover every eventuality/remember what I have to do by when/who’s ass I have to kick. If I look hard enough I could probably find the notebooks I have used each time we have moved house. Thinking about it, they probably contain very similar lists, so I could have saved myself a whole lot of time in April. Dagnammit.
2. Do you wear make-up & if so how much & how often?
Usually I will not leave the house without at least foundation and concealer on. I have dark circles under my eyes even when I don’t have the excuse of a newborn baby in the house. If I don’t put make up on people always tell me I look tired. Tsk.
3. What, if anything, do you wear in bed?
4. Look over your right shoulder. What do you see?
A pile of tissue/wrapping paper ready to go in a makey-doey box for Big M. Should probably do something about that…
5. If you had to take a random item to an interview to help describe you, what would it be?
A ball of wool. I can sometimes get a bit knotted, but with a bit of time and the right support I will untangle and become something useful. Oooh, how profound.
6. What film would you have liked a staring role in?
Mama Mia, mostly because it is set on a beautiful Greek Island. And also the singing and dancing looks like a whole lot of fun. Failing that I would want to be in a Harry Potter film, but only if I got to do actual magic.
7.Jimmy Stewart or Cary Grant?
Cary Grant, because he comes from the same place as me.
8. Do you swear in front of children?
Not intentionally. Because I am a teacher I am quite good at not swearing. Sometimes though it goes a bit wrong when I am in the car and some eejit does something stupid. I have to be careful as Big M totally copies everything we say nowadays.
9. Do you knit or sew or do any other ‘womanly’ craft?
I taught myself to knit a couple of years ago. I do it in fits and starts though, but am trying to complete my first full sized garment this month. I want to get myself a sewing machine and teach myself to sew. I figure I have a whole lot of school plays and fancy dress parties to make costumes for over the next few years, so really it’s an investment.
10. Twitter or Facebook?
I do both. I think I like twitter best for the fact that I am getting to know people I would never have met in real life and when I am up at 4am feeding Little M there is always someone to chat to.
