Usually I post my personal challenge posts on the first of the month.
That makes this post seven days late. Dagnammit.
But, I do have an excuse. Kinda.
You see, on the 1st December I had the first of our christmas concerts, and didn’t get home until 9.34pm.
So what was wrong with the 2nd/3rd/4th I hear you cry? Good point. All I can say is that Mr TOPP was away, my dad was up to take me and the M’s on the Santa Express, and I had another concert to prepare for on Monday. And then, after that concert I had to go to bed at 5.30pm. Last night I made it to 6.30pm before I had to crash. Turns out I’m a bit poorly.
I should probably have a couple of days off work to recover, but I can’t. I have another concert next Tuesday. I haven’t got time to be ill. All teachers are on the floor by this time of year, but while others can start to wind down for the last week of term, music teachers have to keep on going right to the bitter end.
So, this month my personal challenge is to make it to christmas in one piece. If I do it may be my very own christmas miracle…
Want to join in? You are very welcome. Just set yourself a goal for the month – your very own Personal Challenge. At the beginning of the month, decide what it is that you want to achieve over the next thirty days. It could be anything: losing a couple of pounds, getting the weeding done, making something, learning a new skill. Whatever you like. Putting my management hat on for a second: make sure it is something you can actually achieve in a month. Be SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-based). Write a post about what you want to achieve and why. If you link back to my post then others can join in too – you can use the badge if you like (the code is over on the right there).
Make sure you put the link to your post on the linky list at the bottom of mine (it’s open for two weeks). Use the opportunity to seek advice from/help out/support fellow bloggers. Then spend the next month attempting to achieve your goal. At the end of the month I’ll be back to let you know how I have got on with my personal challenge and there will be another linky for you to share your success. So come back and tell us how you got on and we can all give you a pat on the back.
